Expert Conference on Alcohol and Health
On 21-22 September the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumers, will arrange an Expert Meeting on Alcohol and Health.

The purpose of the meeting is to support a sustainable, long-term and comprehensive strategy to reduce alcohol-related harm in the European Union. The meeting highlights the strategic importance of keeping the alcohol and health issue high on the EU agenda.
With contributions from participating professionals, researchers, politicians and members of civil society, the meeting will include presentations and workshops on policy development at EU and Member State levels as well as the latest research.
During the plenary sessions, a report will be presented on the situation in the European Union Member States three years after the adoption of the EU strategy to support Member States in reducing alcohol-related harm.
The Expert Meeting on Alcohol and Health targets an audience of EU policymakers and executive officers from the public and private sectors, politics and civil society.
