In addition to the opening speeches of Swedish Minister for Education Jan Björklund and European Commissioner Ján Figel', Head of the OECD’s Directorate for Education Barbara Ischinger will hold a speech on Wednesday afternoon on how the teaching profession can be made more attractive.
Professor Ilse Schrittesser of the University of Vienna will be speaking on the importance of life-long learning for teachers.
