Representatives from EU cooperation on the Mutual Information System on Social Protection (MISSOC) will meet on 10–11 November in Stockholm. This will provide an opportunity for Member States to share information and experience on the development of social insurance in each country.

The information system means that the EU and EFTA countries compile their rules for social protection in tables that are continually updated. The aim is to enable comparisons to be made of the countries’ different social insurance systems. The Member States will also discuss current reports in the area of social insurance and the Commission will report on ongoing projects and trends.

A MISSOC meeting is organised every six months in the country holding the Presidency. Participants at the meeting include senior officials from the EU Member States, the European Commission, the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and the Council of Europe.
