- We have had good discussions on relations between the EU and the three South Caucasian countries, relations which we are deepening during the Swedish Presidency, says Minister Bildt. One important vehicle for this ambition is the Eastern Partnership, where we will have a ministerial meeting later this year.

- During a more informal, joint session we also had a useful exchange of views on regional issues, conflict management, and developments since the EU troika visit to the countries in July.

The EU delegation included Ms Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Dr Javier Solana, High Representative of CFSP, MR Diego López Garrido, State Secretary for European Union Affairs from the incoming Spanish Presidency. Ambassador Peter Semneby, EU Special Representative for South Caucasus also participated in the meetings.
